Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Sugato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that John Pain has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Pain seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony Sugato! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sugato keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sugato fails with a takedown attempt. Sugato with a lazy takedown attempt so Pain counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pain controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. This has been an exciting period of action! Pain moves nicely into side control. Pain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pain is chipping away with strikes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Oooh a big shot gets through from Pain. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
