Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Navis Sillage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Navis Sillage!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sillage swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.

Sillage gets a takedown into half guard.

Sillage is working for a submission of some sort.
Jackson won't allow Sillage to pass to mount.

Sillage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jackson trying to control but Sillage postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sillage slows the pace down in half guard.
Sillage is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sillage seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Sillage sits in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sillage swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sillage counters with a nice leg kick.
Jackson closes the distance but Sillage moves to the side

and Sillage counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Sillage decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sillage circles away from the clinch attempt

and Sillage decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard.

Sillage gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.

Sillage looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sillage sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Sillage decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Jackson pushes Sillage off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

It looks like Navis Sillage has been cut.

Jackson clinches up against the cage.
Sillage is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?

Jackson breaks the clinch.
Jackson misses with a head kick.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Sillage shoots in.
Sillage seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Jackson looks to clinch

and Sillage holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Jackson landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Jackson breaks the clinch.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Sillage pushes him off.

Sillage rushes Jackson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sillage manages to pull guard.
Sillage keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
Jackson looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sillage looking to control.
Sillage manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sillage raining down shots from the mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sillage slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sillage has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sillage's guard.
Sillage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.
Sillage preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Sillage pulls Jackson in to control the position.
Sillage looking to control.
Jackson won't allow Sillage to sweep him here.
Sillage striking off his back but it's not causing Jackson any problems.

Sillage is trying to keep Jackson in close.
Sillage is breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jackson with a poor takedown

and Sillage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sillage stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sillage wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
Jackson is looking for a sweep.

You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Sillage decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Sillage closes the distance and clinches.
Jackson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sillage just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sillage backwards.
Jackson jumps guard but Sillage stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sillage is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jackson throws a left and a right that both miss

and Sillage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
Sillage with the ground and pound but Jackson regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Sillage trying to mount his opponent but Jackson defends it.
Sillage slows the pace down in half guard.
Sillage thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sillage decides to stand and escape the position.

Sillage looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sillage prevents Jackson from improving his position.
Sillage uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson.
Navis Sillage has got the better of the ground game so far.

Let's hope that Sillage has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Navis Sillage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Sillage looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jackson!

Sillage is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jackson is surviving well by controlling Sillage's body position as best he can.

Sillage can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

Sillage jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jackson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jackson and Sillage has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sillage lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Sillage scoring with punches and elbows.
Sillage is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sillage in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Sillage decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Sillage closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sillage wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling the position.
Sillage is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mike Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sillage is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Jackson is in trouble now - Sillage has advanced to mount!
Jackson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sillage working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Sillage avoids the attempt from Jackson to control.
Sillage can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jackson is looking to escape.

Navis Sillage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
