Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Awesome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jax Kutts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kutts has chosen Save Me from Shinedown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Johnny Awesome could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jax Kutts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Awesome! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jax Kutts! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Awesome swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kutts looks for a takedown but Awesome sprawls well. Kutts doesn't manage to clinch there - Awesome circles away.
Awesome misses with a few strikes there.
Kutts darts in and clinches Awesome up against the cage. Awesome working hard to break the clinch. Awesome manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Awesome wants to get back to his feet but Kutts is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kutts tries to free his leg and advance position but Awesome is retaining full guard. Kutts not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kutts is looking to work some ground and pound but Awesome has wrist control. Kutts postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kutts decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Awesome throws a right hand that Kutts ducks under and follows up with a left that Kutts also avoids with ease.

Jax Kutts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kutts instigates a clinch. A knee to the head by Kutts.
Kutts dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Awesome tries to break the clinch but Kutts is controlling the position. Knees in the clinch landing for Kutts.
Kutts lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Johnny Awesome has been cut. Kutts gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Kutts keeps control of Awesome as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kutts is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Awesome gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A frustrated look appears on Awesome's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kutts lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Kutts with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kutts comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Kutts pulls guard. Awesome wants to get up but he can't break Kutts's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Awesome is breathing heavily. Awesome has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Awesome wants to stand and escape but instead Kutts has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kutts sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Awesome's guard. Kutts uses his free foot to push down on Awesome's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Awesome. Kutts takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kutts fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kutts controlling from mount. Awesome is trying to stand up. Kutts looking to control but Awesome is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kutts is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Awesome can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kutts wants to control the pace but Awesome is squirming around nicely. Kutts controlling his opponent. Kutts lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kutts looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Awesome takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Awesome is squirming around, avoiding Kutts's attempts to control the action. Awesome tries to buck Kutts off but Kutts takes his back! Kutts is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Awesome knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Awesome for a finish. Kutts is persistently looking for the submission but Awesome is defending it well.
Kutts biding his time, controlling Awesome. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Awesome covering up well and avoiding damage. Kutts gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jax Kutts dominated that round. The cut man is working on Johnny Awesome's cut. That's time! Awesome's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
No joy there for Awesome, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Awesome tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kutts avoids the head kick by Awesome.

Awesome slaps away a takedown attempt from Kutts, before circling back to the center of the mat. Awesome throws a sloppy head kick and Kutts moves out of range easily. Kutts closes the distance and clinches. Awesome tries to break free but Kutts pushes him back against the cage. Kutts tries to pull guard but Awesome won't allow it.
Johnny Awesome has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jax Kutts. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kutts. Kutts pulls guard successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutts is controlling Awesome's posture. Awesome wanted to stand there but Kutts had control of the position. Kutts is trying to control the position but Awesome postures up. Awesome wants to stand but Kutts is controlling his posture from full guard. Kutts looking for a sweep. Not yet Kutts, not yet. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Awesome postures up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jax Kutts wasn't active enough on the ground. Kutts has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Awesome throws a series of punches but Kutts moves out of range. Kutts moves to clinch but Awesome breaks away and Awesome counters with a stiff right hand. Awesome has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kutts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Awesome pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kutts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Awesome on his heels. He'll look to pass Awesome's guard now, I'm sure. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kutts thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kutts sitting in guard, not really doing much. Awesome wants to stand and escape but Kutts is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kutts controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Awesome avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jax Kutts has got the better of the ground game so far. Kutts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jax Kutts was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kutts tries to clinch up and Kutts takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kutts pushes Awesome up against the cage in a clinch. Kutts lands on the inside with an uppercut. Kutts is trying to pull guard but Awesome has him pressed against the cage. Kutts lands an elbow that stopped Awesome in his tracks for a moment. Awesome is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kutts is defending well. Kutts putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Awesome in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kutts has control of Awesome's left arm, preventing Awesome from doing any damage. Awesome wants to get up but he can't break Kutts's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kutts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Awesome can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Awesome stands up from Kutts's guard - Awesome perhaps looking for a knockout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kutts has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Awesome is trying to buck Kutts off. Kutts wants to control but Awesome is keeping him busy. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
