The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuteboxe has a takedown stuffed.
Chuteboxe takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Machida leaves Chuteboxe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chuteboxe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Chuteboxe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A combination from Machida does no damage.
Chuteboxe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Machida but Machida pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice takedown defense from Machida. No joy for Chuteboxe on that attempt.

Machida takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Chuteboxe is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machida lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Chuteboxe up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Machida from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Chuteboxe's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chinzo Machida!
