Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michal Szczepanik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chance Larocque!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larocque gets the takedown into side control.
Szczepanik is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Larocque decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Larocque drives through with a takedown into guard.

Larocque drops back looking for a leg! Szczepanik is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Szczepanik manages to kick Larocque off! Larocque jumps back into Szczepanik's guard.
Larocque wants to pass the guard but Szczepanik is keeping the position.
Larocque throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Szczepanik works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Larocque drops back looking for a leg! Szczepanik is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Szczepanik manages to kick Larocque off! Larocque jumps back into Szczepanik's guard.

Szczepanik manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Larocque is desperately trying to improve his position but Szczepanik has a good base and remains in mount.
Larocque manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Szczepanik stalling away here and it's allowed Larocque to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Larocque pulls Szczepanik in to control the position.
Larocque is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Larocque gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Szczepanik fails with the takedown

and Larocque counters with a nice double leg into side control. Szczepanik won't be happy with that.

Larocque stands up and beckons Szczepanik to his feet.

Larocque drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Larocque closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Szczepanik tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Larocque presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Larocque is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Szczepanik has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Larocque is landing with some decent strikes but Szczepanik is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Larocque is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Szczepanik can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Szczepanik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Larocque counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Larocque in particular looking to stall.

Larocque closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Larocque is trying to work for a kimura but Szczepanik is defending well.
Larocque is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Szczepanik wants to control but Larocque is having none of it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Larocque pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Szczepanik fails to land the takedown.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Larocque decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Larocque takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Szczepanik wants to get back to his feet.

Larocque jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Szczepanik manages to avoid the submission attempt.
You can see the frustration on Szczepanik's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

No joy there for Larocque, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Larocque avoids the body shot from Szczepanik.

Larocque shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Larocque scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Larocque wants to work for an arm triangle but Szczepanik is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Larocque is trying to control the action in half guard but Szczepanik is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Larocque stands up out of the half guard.
Larocque stalks Szczepanik and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Szczepanik's face. Szczepanik staggers backwards, shaken.
Nice sprawl there from Larocque as Szczepanik shoots in.

Larocque shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Szczepanik napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chance Larocque comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Larocque has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Chance Larocque spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
