Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Potatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankestein Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes into a darkened arena with his song building. SURF RIDER!!! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Potatos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankestein Mir! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mir wants to clinch but Potatos slips to the side and Potatos counters with a nice uppercut. Potatos has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mir. Mir is looking to land body kicks. Mir misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mir ducks under a wild hook from Potatos. Potatos wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. An inside leg kick from Mir misses. Mir misses with an attempted mid kick.
Potatos misses with a body kick. Mir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Potatos circles away quickly and effectively. Potatos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mir misses with a straight right. Potatos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mir misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Potatos.
Potatos dips to his left and cracks Mir with an uppercut! Decent striking displayed by Potatos there. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Potatos throws a head kick that half lands.
Mir on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Mir checks a low kick from Potatos. Mir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Potatos looks to land a right hand but Mir moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir misses with a low kick. Mir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Potatos tries to avoid it but Mir manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Potatos to the ground. Potatos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mir shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Mir scores with a jab. Potatos throws a nice head kick!
A punch combination from Mir misses. Potatos tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A slapping leg kick lands for Potatos.
Mir moves in looking to clinch but Potatos pushes him off. Potatos is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Potatos stuffs the takedown attempt from Mir. Mir gets slowly back to his feet. Mir doesn't manage to clinch there - Potatos circles away.

Mir throws a low kick but Potatos avoids it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Potatos fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mir checks it well. Mir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Potatos's waist but Potatos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mir off to one side. Jack Potatos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankestein Mir. Mir displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Potatos throws out the jab. Potatos connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Potatos to score with a decent uppercut. Mir scores with the left hand. Potatos knows he should have avoided that one. No joy there for Potatos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Potatos is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Potatos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mir.
Mir rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Potatos moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A head kick misses from Mir. Mir looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jack Potatos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mir lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Potatos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Potatos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Potatos lands a slapping body shot.
Mir on the wrong end of a nice hook. Potatos lands a nice hook to Mir's body. Mir takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Mir has closed the distance and engaged Potatos in a clinch.

Potatos tries to work over Mir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Mir has clasped his hands together around Potatos's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Potatos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mir trying to control the action but Potatos is working from the bottom. That's four minutes gone in the round. Potatos is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mir wants to control but Potatos is keeping him busy. Potatos is trying to maintain the position but Mir is very close to passing his half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potatos is refusing to be controlled, as Mir sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Potatos trying to control from the bottom.

Potatos has his hands clasped together around Mir's back. He's all about the action. Mir is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Potatos is looking for a sweep. Mir is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mir thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potatos's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mir shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Potatos manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Potatos controls Mir momentarily but Mir frees himself. Mir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Potatos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mir has managed to get both his arms back between Potatos's legs - danger averted. Mir sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Potatos's guard. Potatos trying to hold on to Mir's head to control him but Mir postures up.

Mir is looking for a kimura but Potatos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mir to get the leverage. Mir is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mir tries to pass to full mount but Potatos defends it. Mir is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Potatos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Potatos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Potatos can't keep his opponent in guard - Mir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mir breaks from Potatos's wrist control and lands an elbow. Potatos wants to hold on but Mir pushes him away. Potatos is bucking up trying to escape but Mir cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Potatos wants to control but Mir is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mir cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mir has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mir looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Potatos is looking to improve his position but Mir isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mir can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Potatos is looking to escape. Mir lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Potatos hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankestein Mir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Frankestein Mir decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
