Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caco Antibes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Antibes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Liquor store blues - Bruno mars ft. Damian Marley. Tyson Speed acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Caco Antibes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Speed!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed shoots in and drives through. Antibes sprawls well.
Speed misses with the combination.
Sloppy strikes from Antibes. Those never looked like landing.
Antibes throws a leg kick that misses.
No luck for Speed with that takedown attempt.
Antibes stuffs the takedown.
Caco Antibes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Speed.
Antibes throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Speed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Speed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Antibes.
Antibes misses with a two punch combination.
Antibes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Antibes looks to land a combination but Speed avoids it well.

Speed tries to clinch but Antibes moves out of range.

and Speed counters with a nice double leg into side control. Antibes won't be happy with that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Speed decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Antibes misses the shot to the body.
Antibes dips to his left and cracks Speed with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Antibes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Speed counters with a nice kick to the body.
Speed takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Speed shoots in but no luck this time.
Antibes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Speed holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Speed pressing his opponent against the cage.
Antibes wants to break the clinch but can't.

Speed is trying to pull guard but Antibes turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Antibes has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Antibes is trying to break free.

Antibes breaks the clinch.
Antibes throws a right hand that Speed ducks under and follows up with a left that Speed also avoids with ease.
Speed fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Antibes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Antibes's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Antibes duly obliges.

Antibes misses with a low kick.
Antibes throws a low kick but Speed avoids it.
Speed fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Antibes swats away the attempt to clinch by Speed.
Antibes closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Speed fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Antibes to the ground. Speed is now in Antibes's guard.

Antibes wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Speed wanted to stand there but Antibes had control of the position.
Speed is fighting to break Antibes's control of his arms but Antibes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Speed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Antibes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Speed's guard.

Speed working for submissions but it's allowed Antibes to get to half guard.
Speed is trying to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Antibes controlling the action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Speed works his way to full guard. Good work.
Antibes not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Antibes passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Caco Antibes will probably get the nod.
That's time! Antibes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Antibes throws a wild body kick that Speed sees coming a mile off.
Antibes throws a right and a left that Speed avoids nicely.
Caco Antibes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed shoots in and drives through. Antibes sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Antibes. No joy for Speed on that attempt.

Speed looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Antibes is fending him off so far but Speed persists. Nope, Antibes circles away and we're back to standing.
Speed fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Speed lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Speed counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Speed counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Speed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Antibes lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Antibes throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Speed tries a head kick but it misses.
Antibes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Tyson Speed has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Speed drives through and clinches with Antibes against the cage.
Antibes is looking to break free of the clinch but Speed has double underhooks.
Speed keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Antibes's efforts to push away.
Speed drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Antibes gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Antibes is trying to break the clinch but Speed has him pressed against the cage.

Antibes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Speed closes the distance and clinches up with Antibes, looking for a takedown. Speed pushes Antibes against the cage but Antibes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Speed counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Speed with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Speed trying to control from half guard but Antibes is working away.
Antibes manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Speed wants to control from the top but Antibes keeps moving.
Antibes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Speed controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyson Speed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Speed dives in and grabs Antibes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Antibes pushes down on Speed's head and hops out.
Antibes throws a head kick that misses
and Speed counters with a straight right hand.

Speed pushes Antibes up against the cage in a clinch.
Speed prevents Antibes from breaking the clinch.

Speed pulls Antibes into guard.
Speed is trying to control the position but Antibes postures up.

Antibes tries to free his leg and advance position but Speed is retaining full guard.

Speed is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Speed lands a hook that snaps the head of Antibes backwards.
Speed keeps control of Antibes as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Antibes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Speed has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Speed jumps guard and drags Antibes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Speed can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Antibes controls the pace.
Antibes wants to stand but Speed is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Tyson Speed will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Speed bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Speed taking a break here but Antibes is having none of it and regains half guard.

Antibes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Speed is one step ahead there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Antibes holds on and takes a little breather.

Speed drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Speed tries to stand but Antibes is controlling from the bottom.
Antibes keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully.
Speed trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Speed is looking to work some ground and pound but Antibes has wrist control.
Speed wants to pass the guard but Antibes is keeping the position.
Antibes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Antibes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Speed's guard.
Speed trying to keep a closed guard but Antibes is proving a slippery customer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Speed is looking to stand back up but Antibes counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Speed.
Speed is looking for a sweep. Antibes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tyson Speed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Speed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
