Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John The Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Wenke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Iron comes to the cage accompanied by Slippin. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John The Iron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Austin Wenke! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wenke gets caught flat footed, as The Iron shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The Iron throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wenke works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The Iron thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The Iron throwing strikes but missing. Wenke looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The Iron won't allow Wenke to get back to his feet. The Iron will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wenke is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Iron trying to control the position from guard on top but Wenke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The Iron tries to free his leg and advance position but Wenke is retaining full guard. Wenke utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Iron lands a couple of decent looking shots. The Iron pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wenke is keeping the position for now. Wenke working for a triangle but The Iron defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The Iron got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wenke has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, The Iron has managed to get both his arms back between Wenke's legs - danger averted.

The Iron postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The Iron sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wenke's guard. The Iron is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wenke is refusing to be controlled, as The Iron sits in half guard. Wenke tries to kick The Iron off but The Iron keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. The Iron is nestled in close to Wenke, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wenke looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The Iron in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Wenke tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from The Iron!
