Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Litoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre Lemieux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litoris wants to clinch up but Lemieux keeps it at a distance.
Lemieux clinches up with Litoris and pushes him back against the cage.
Litoris swings wildly with an uppercut but Lemieux uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lemieux misses with a hook from the clinch.
Litoris is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lemieux to keep the fight standing.
Lemieux breaks from the clinch.
Lemieux paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Litoris tries to clinch but Lemieux moves away
and Lemieux counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Litoris is looking for a triangle here but Lemieux uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lemieux wants to stand but Litoris is controlling his arm.
Litoris tries to buck Lemieux off but Lemieux is having none of it.
Litoris is trying to control Lemieux's posture but Lemieux avoids it.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Lemieux with the ground and pound but Litoris regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Lemieux really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Litoris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Litoris tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Litoris working for a triangle but Lemieux defends it easily.
Litoris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lemieux turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lemieux manages to end up in side control.

Litoris manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lemieux is controlling the pace.
Litoris is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pierre Lemieux dominated that round.
That's time! Litoris's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Litoris misses with an uppercut.
Lemieux gets a takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lemieux in particular looking to stall.
Litoris wants to control but Lemieux is keeping busy.
Litoris looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Lemieux is taking a breather. Litoris says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Litoris is pressing down on Lemieux's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Litoris is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Lemieux got a little sloppy there for a moment and Litoris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lemieux has managed to get both his arms back between Litoris's legs - danger averted.
Litoris pulls Lemieux in close to his closed guard and prevents Lemieux from doing any damage or advancing position.
Litoris is looking for a triangle but Lemieux pushes his legs off easily.
Lemieux stands up from Litoris's guard - Lemieux perhaps looking for a knockout.

Lemieux drives through with a takedown into Litoris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lemieux must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Litoris has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lemieux should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Litoris has tightened it up now! Lemieux should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
