Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edward McCown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Muyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCown's entrance music is One Day, by Matisyahu. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward McCown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Muyle! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCown lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Muyle at a distance.
Muyle doesn't succeed with the takedown letting McCown counter with a right hand. McCown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Muyle tries to clinch but fails miserably and McCown counters with a three punch combo that has Muyle backing up. Muyle nods at McCown to acknowledge the strikes. Muyle misses with a left hand and McCown counters with a straight right hand. Muyle takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McCown drops Muyle with a left right combo! McCown follows him down to the ground into side control.
Muyle is rocked!
It looks like Ben Muyle has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. You can see the frustration on Muyle's face as McCown controls the position. Muyle is still in real trouble! Can McCown finish him? Muyle misses with an elbow from the bottom. Muyle on the wrong end of some ground and pound. McCown thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Muyle is trying to control McCown's posture but McCown avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muyle is looking for a sweep. Muyle seems to have recovered his senses. McCown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McCown lands an elbow. McCown staying calm. Muyle can't do much from the bottom here. McCown staying calm. McCown is chipping away with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muyle trying to remain calm as McCown controls from the top position. Muyle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Muyle is letting McCown control him for a moment. Muyle is looking to get back to his feet here but McCown is keeping cool and he's managed to take Muyle's back. Muyle is covering up but some of the strikes from McCown are getting through and doing damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McCown working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Muyle is doing well to defend. McCown seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Muyle is forced to tap and this one is over!
