Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hometown Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hero is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hall of Fame. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hometown Hero! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hero is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Hero tries a head kick but it misses.
Hero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hero lands in his opponent's guard. Hero pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Parker is keeping the position for now. Parker wants to stand but Hero is controlling the position. Hero throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker keeping moving, preventing Hero from controlling successfully.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Hometown Hero hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hero misses with a kick to the body and Parker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Parker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Parker changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hero fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hero.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hero tries to clinch up but Parker circles away and keeps his distance. Hero fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hero gets a takedown into half guard. Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hero on the ground. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hero in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hero perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hometown Hero has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hero changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Parker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Hero advances nicely into full mount. Hero can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Parker is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hero might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Parker haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hero looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Hero thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hometown Hero dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Hero rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hero misses with a head kick.
Hero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Hero is keen to just control but Parker is a slippery customer. Parker tries to kick Hero off but Hero keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Hometown Hero wasn't active enough on the ground. Hero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hero misses with a body punch
and Parker counters with a body kick that stops Hero in his tracks momentarily. Hometown Hero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hero misses with a takedown and Parker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Hero tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Hero can't get the takedown.
Richard Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hometown Hero. Hero is breathing heavily. Parker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hero gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hero can't break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker decides to pull guard. Hero wants to stand but Parker is controlling his posture from full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hero's waist but Hero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Parker off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hero misses with a hook. Parker ducked under it nicely. Parker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Parker wants it to stay on the feet. Hero with a lazy takedown attempt and Parker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Parker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hero thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Parker wants to stand but Hero is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hero is looking for a triangle but Parker pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Parker stops Hero from getting back to his feet.
Hero is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Parker pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Hometown Hero will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Parker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hero walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Parker checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hero tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Parker counters with a nice kick to the body. Hero tries to clinch but Parker moves away and Parker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hero! Hero tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Parker presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Hero working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hero wants to control but Parker is having none of it. Parker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hero is looking to escape. Hero gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We're going to have a standup here because Richard Parker wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hero looks for a takedown but Parker sprawls well. Hero shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Parker napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hero takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hero remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hero trying to control the action but Parker is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hometown Hero. Hero closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Parker to the mat! Parker manages to get full guard. Hero tries to stand but Parker is controlling from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker is looking to stand up but Hero isn't so interested in that idea. Hometown Hero has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hometown Hero wins by unanimous decision! After winning the bout, Hometown Hero thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
