Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Schwetty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mary Jane. Pete Schwetty has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwetty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jenkins throws a lazy right hand but Schwetty sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jenkins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Schwetty sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jenkins dodges the punch combination from Schwetty.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jenkins checks a leg kick.
Jenkins misses the jab.
Schwetty throws a leg kick but Jenkins sees it coming and moves out of range.

Jenkins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Jenkins takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Jenkins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schwetty.
Jenkins lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Schwetty listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Schwetty takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Schwetty looks to score with a jab to the body but Jenkins is just out of range.
Schwetty throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jenkins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jenkins.
Schwetty misses the shot to the body.
Schwetty throws a lazy uppercut

so Jenkins counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jenkins stays in close to Schwetty's body and controls the position.

Jenkins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jenkins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Schwetty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jenkins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jenkins advances position into side control!

Jenkins is trying to get an arm triangle but Schwetty is defending well.

Jenkins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Schwetty knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Jenkins trying to control the action but Schwetty is working from the bottom.

Jenkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Schwetty has escaped the position, nice work there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Schwetty is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schwetty swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Schwetty lands a really nice looking cross but Jenkins seems unphased.
Jenkins misses with a hook.
A jab lands there for Jenkins.
Schwetty closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Jenkins! Schwetty dives in looking to finish! Jenkins is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Pete Schwetty seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
