Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Queen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Corey Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oliver Queen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Corey Jr!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corey Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Queen sprawls well. He's pushed Corey Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Corey Jr throws a leg kick
and Queen counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Mike Corey Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Corey Jr throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Queen works Corey Jr's body with a nice hook.
Corey Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Queen pinned against the cage. Queen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Corey Jr throws a low kick but Queen moves out of range easily.
Queen has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Corey Jr.

and Queen counters with a straight right hand.

Corey Jr throws a leg kick but Queen moved away.
Corey Jr wants to clinch up but Queen keeps it at a distance.
Corey Jr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Queen as he jumps to the side.
Oliver Queen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Corey Jr.

Queen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Corey Jr did well to prevent Queen getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Corey Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Queen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Corey Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Corey Jr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Corey Jr moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Corey Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I would just about give that final round to Mike Corey Jr.
Well Corey Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
