Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Thatser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pentti Grecosaurus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pentti Grecosaurus! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thatser fails in his attempt to clinch. Thatser tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Grecosaurus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thatser moves in looking to clinch but Grecosaurus pushes him off. Thatser tries to clinch but Grecosaurus moves out of range. Thatser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grecosaurus swats him away and circles back towards the center. Grecosaurus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thatser fails in his attempt to clinch. Thatser wants to clinch up but Grecosaurus keeps it at a distance. Thatser clinches up against the ropes. Thatser is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Thatser tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thatser gets underhooks to prevent Grecosaurus's takedown attempt.

Thatser is breathing heavily. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Thatser just misses with a elbow thrown towards Grecosaurus's brow. Grecosaurus changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Thatser fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Thatser tries to clinch up but Grecosaurus circles away and keeps his distance. Grecosaurus feints and as Thatser raises his hands in defense, Grecosaurus changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Thatser being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Thatser keeping full guard, as Grecosaurus tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grecosaurus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Grecosaurus with a nice head shot there. Grecosaurus not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Grecosaurus working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Grecosaurus is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Despite being in the dominant position, Pentti Grecosaurus just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Grecosaurus closes the distance and clinches. Thatser looking to stall.

Tommy Thatser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pentti Grecosaurus. Thatser gets underhooks to prevent Grecosaurus's takedown attempt.

With the fighters up against the ropes, Thatser throws an elbow but misses. Grecosaurus tightens his grip and picks Thatser up, before dumping him to the ground. Thatser manages to land in guard. Thatser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grecosaurus is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thatser closes the distance looking to clinch and Grecosaurus counters with a shoot takedown. Thatser fights it but they end up in guard. Grecosaurus controlling from the top position. Grecosaurus chips away with some ground and pound. Grecosaurus lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Grecosaurus working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Thatser's head. Grecosaurus showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grecosaurus works over Thatser with some ground and pound from guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grecosaurus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Thatser can't keep his opponent in guard - Grecosaurus advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Grecosaurus lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Grecosaurus not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Grecosaurus performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Grecosaurus scoring with strikes to the body and head. Grecosaurus lands strikes from half guard. Grecosaurus scoring with strikes to the body and head. Grecosaurus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Grecosaurus slows the pace down in half guard. Thatser knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grecosaurus on the ground. Grecosaurus is nestled in close to Thatser, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Grecosaurus wants to free his trapped foot but Thatser is holding on for dear life with his legs. Grecosaurus not landing any meaningful shots this time. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Grecosaurus lands a nice short elbow. Grecosaurus missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Grecosaurus takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Thatser is looking to control Grecosaurus's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Thatser avoid being mounted? Thatser has hold of Grecosaurus's hands but Grecosaurus slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Grecosaurus controlling the action here. Thatser is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Grecosaurus scores with a couple of nice shots. Grecosaurus stalling. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Grecosaurus lands a nice short elbow. Grecosaurus controlling the action here. Thatser on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thatser tries to get out of the position. Thatser is not content to let Grecosaurus control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grecosaurus breaks from Thatser's wrist control and lands an elbow. Thatser tries to hold on but Grecosaurus postures up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Grecosaurus controlling from mount. Grecosaurus is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Thatser can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grecosaurus avoids the attempt from Thatser to control. Thatser really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Grecosaurus breaks from Thatser's wrist control and lands an elbow. Grecosaurus cracks Thatser with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
