The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firdaus closes the distance and clinches.
Cali lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Cali is looking to break free of the clinch but Firdaus has double underhooks.
Firdaus wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Cali dives in and grabs Firdaus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Firdaus pushes down on Cali's head and hops out.

Firdaus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Firdaus wants it to stay on the feet.

Firdaus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cali walks away with a smile on his face. Firdaus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Firdaus doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Cali counters with a left and a right that stings Firdaus.
Cali slaps away a takedown attempt from Firdaus, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Firdaus is breathing heavily.
Cali throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Firdaus.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Firdaus does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's time! Firdaus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Firdaus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cali gets a clinch.
Firdaus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cali gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Cali is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Firdaus is defending well.

Firdaus shoots in but Cali avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Firdaus has his foot on Cali's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cali works his way back into a safe position though.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Firdaus holds on and takes a little breather.

Cali avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Cali counters with a nice double leg into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cali avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cali throws a strike but Firdaus rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Firdaus wants to get up but he can't break Cali's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Firdaus stands and steps away. Cali gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Cali bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Firdaus's head backwards.
Ali Cali is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cali checks a low kick from Firdaus.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Firdaus is defended easily by Cali.
Firdaus swats away the attempt to clinch by Cali.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ozi Firdaus.
I think Cali has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
