Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Gale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Parker Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherk shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gale napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sherk controlling the position from side mount.
Gale is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sherk off and has taken his back!
Sherk rolls, trying to escape but Gale keeps control of the position.
Sherk prevents Gale from getting a body triangle.
Sherk trying to control the action but Gale just sinks the hooks in.
Even with his hooks in, Gale manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Sherk is taking damage to the body and head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gale throwing sloppy strikes.
Gale will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sherk looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Gale wants to control but Sherk is keeping busy.
Sherk holding both Gale 's hands and preventing any damage.
Gale is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Sherk with him. Sherk is trying to defend but Gale has an arm under the chin now! Sherk grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chris Gale!
Chris Gale took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Nope not today buddy'.
