Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Hibbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogers Mixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers Mixon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Hibbert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rogers Mixon! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hibbert stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Nice cross by Hibbert. Hibbert connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Mixon shoots in for a double leg but Hibbert sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hibbert feints and as Mixon raises his hands in defense, Hibbert changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mixon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hibbert throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mixon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hibbert throws a big elbow that misses. Mixon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hibbert working some strikes from top position. Hibbert throws an elbow that misses. Mixon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hibbert's guard. Nice move by Mixon! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hibbert is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mixon is controlling him. Mixon is looking to stand up but Hibbert won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hibbert working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mixon. Mixon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rogers Mixon wasn't active enough on the ground. Hibbert moves out of range of the body kick from Mixon.
Mixon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mixon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mixon lands in his opponent's guard. Hibbert might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mixon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rogers Mixon wasn't active enough on the ground. Mixon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hibbert tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mixon is in Hibbert's guard. Mixon wanted to stand there but Hibbert had control of the position. Hibbert wants to stand but Mixon is controlling the position. Mixon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Mixon wants to control from the top but Hibbert keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Rogers Mixon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hibbert darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Hibbert waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mixon. Mixon takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mixon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hibbert to score with a decent uppercut. Mixon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hibbert sprawls well initially but Mixon persists and gets the takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mixon passes to full mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hibbert keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rogers Mixon will probably get the nod. That's time! Hibbert's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hibbert fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hibbert gets tackled into the cage by Mixon. Mixon maintains the clinch. Mixon stops a takedown attempt from Hibbert.
Mixon slowing the pace effectively. The crowd are getting on Mixon's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Mixon is pressed up against the cage. Hibbert has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mixon down to the mat. Mixon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Hibbert. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mixon tries a head kick but it misses.
Hibbert cracks Mixon with a right hand to the side of the head. Hibbert with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hibbert scores with a decent looking hook. Nice cross by Hibbert. Hibbert shoots for a double leg takedown but Mixon sprawls well. He's pushed Hibbert's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mixon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hibbert napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mixon wants to stand but Hibbert is controlling his arm. Mixon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hibbert, who protects the arm well. Mixon has an Americana. Hibbert didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mixon is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mixon hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rogers Mixon! Rogers Mixon decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
