Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buckley Starchwhite! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tom Walpole! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starchwhite shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Walpole as he avoids it easily. Walpole fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Starchwhite, pushing him back against the ropes. Starchwhite wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Starchwhite tries for a takedown but Walpole manages to get underhooks.
Starchwhite is trying to pull guard but Walpole has him pressed against the ropes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buckley Starchwhite. That's going to take a lot out of him. Starchwhite blocks the elbow strike.
Starchwhite jumps guard but Walpole stands there with Starchwhite around his waist. Starchwhite gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walpole lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Buckley Starchwhite has been cut. Starchwhite dodges an elbow strike from Walpole.
Starchwhite goes for a takedown attempt but Walpole pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A head kick from Walpole lands but Starchwhite takes it in his stride.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walpole rushes Starchwhite and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Starchwhite is trying to pull guard but Walpole turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. With the fighters up against the ropes, Walpole throws an elbow but misses. Walpole throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Starchwhite tries to pull guard but Walpole won't allow it.
Walpole lands a nice elbow. Starchwhite avoids the elbow strike from Walpole, against the ropes.
Starchwhite jumps guard but Walpole stands there with Starchwhite around his waist. Starchwhite gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walpole comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Buckley Starchwhite's cut is getting worse. Walpole lands an elbow just above Starchwhite 's eye.
Buckley Starchwhite's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starchwhite takes an elbow to the temple. Walpole comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Jeez, Buckley Starchwhite's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Buckley Starchwhite's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
