Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julian Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Komatsu Akiaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akiaki is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter the Dragon. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Dragon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Komatsu Akiaki! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akiaki misses with a takedown attempt - Dragon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dragon has his takedown stuffed and Akiaki counters with a takedown into side control. Dragon looks to move to half guard but instead Akiaki has passed into mount! Damn! Akiaki controlling the pace for now. Akiaki get's back to his feet. Akiaki fails in his attempt to clinch. Akiaki circles away from the clinch attempt and Akiaki counters by moving into the clinch. Dragon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dragon tries to break the clinch but Akiaki is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dragon can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julian Dragon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dragon jumps guard but Akiaki stands there with Dragon around his waist. Dragon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dragon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dragon wants to get back to striking at distance but Akiaki won't allow it.

Dragon is working for takedown but Akiaki is calmly controlling the position for now. Akiaki looks to throw an elbow but misses. Dragon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dragon tries for a takedown but Akiaki circles away easily and Akiaki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Akiaki sitting and controlling from the half guard. Dragon tries to roll over but Akiaki keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dragon wants to control but Akiaki passes into side.
Dragon tries to improve position but can't. Dragon is breathing heavily. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dragon is looking for a sweep. Akiaki taking a breather here. Dragon is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akiaki in side control, just content to control the action for now. Akiaki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Akiaki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Akiaki working away. Akiaki stands up and beckons Dragon to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dragon lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Dragon scores with a body shot.
Dragon tries to clinch but Akiaki is having none of it. Dragon tries to keep at a distance but Akiaki has taken the fight into the clinch. Dragon lands a right hand. Dragon fails to pull guard.
Akiaki prevents Dragon from breaking the clinch. Akiaki stalling the fight.
Dragon can't get the takedown.
Akiaki gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dragon trying to get back to full guard but Akiaki takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Akiaki landing strikes from the mount. Akiaki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dragon's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Komatsu Akiaki dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Akiaki has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dragon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Akiaki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dragon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dragon throws an elbow that misses.
Akiaki pulls guard. Akiaki is trying to keep Dragon in close.
Dragon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Akiaki on the ground. Akiaki striking from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akiaki has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dragon off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Dragon misses with a takedown attempt and Akiaki counters with a single leg into guard. Dragon didn't expect that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dragon trying to keep a closed guard but Akiaki is proving a slippery customer.
Dragon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Akiaki controls the pace.

Dragon is trying to hold Akiaki in close to prevent damage but Akiaki has managed to pass into half guard.
Akiaki decides to stand up. Julian Dragon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dragon looks to clinch and Akiaki counters with a body kick that stops Dragon in his tracks momentarily. Dragon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julian Dragon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Akiaki moves in looking to clinch but Dragon pushes him off. Dragon closes the distance looking to clinch and Akiaki counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dragon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Dragon looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Dragon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Dragon fails with a takedown attempt. Dragon is looking to clinch. Akiaki forces Dragon back against the cage and clinches. Akiaki pulls Dragon into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Akiaki keeping moving, preventing Dragon from controlling successfully. Akiaki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dragon landing some decent shots from guard. Dragon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Akiaki is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Akiaki working a defensive guard here.
Akiaki wants to sweep here but Dragon controlling him for the moment. Dragon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Akiaki wants to stand up but Dragon is controlling him. Dragonis looking to pass into half guard but Akiaki pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Akiaki is in guard. Akiaki controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Akiaki's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Komatsu Akiaki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Dragon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Akiaki circles away. Dragon tries to clinch but Akiaki moves away and Akiaki counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Akiaki. Dragon jumps guard but Akiaki stands there with Dragon around his waist. Dragon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Akiaki is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dragon is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Akiaki to the mat. Akiaki regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Dragon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Akiaki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Komatsu Akiaki has got the better of the ground game so far. Dragon preventing the sweep. Akiaki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dragon is controlling him. Akiaki managing to control the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Akiaki throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Dragon trying to control the position from guard on top but Akiaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Akiaki manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Dragon shoots in but Akiaki avoids the takedown attempt easily. Akiaki has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dragon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Akiaki has Dragon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dragon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Akiaki crunches a lovely knee into Dragon's ribcage. Dragon takes an elbow to the temple. Knees in the clinch landing for Dragon.

Komatsu Akiaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dragon misses with a takedown and Akiaki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dragon! Dragon tries to control the position but Akiaki now has his back.
Akiaki doesn't have the hooks in and Dragon manages to turn into his guard.
Dragon looking to sit in guard and control but Akiaki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Dragon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Akiaki is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akiaki looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Akiaki drops back looking for a leg! Dragon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dragon manages to kick Akiaki off! Akiaki jumps back into Dragon's guard. Dragon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dragon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Akiaki stands and steps away. Dragon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dragon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dragon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dragon closes the distance and clinches. Akiaki stops a takedown attempt from Dragon.

Akiaki manages to break the clinch.
Dragon gets the takedown into side control. Akiaki wants to control but Dragon postures up. Dragon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Akiaki is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Akiaki dodges the ground and pound from Dragon. Akiaki tries to escape but Dragon is in control. Julian Dragon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Akiaki struggling a bit here.
And that's the end of the fight! Komatsu Akiaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Akiaki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
