Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane Falco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabricio Werdum! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Werdum gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Falco counters with a head kick. That will keep Werdum thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Werdum with a lazy takedown attempt and Falco counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Falco lands a hook that snaps the head of Werdum backwards. Falco lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Werdum backwards. Werdum jumps guard but Falco stands there with Werdum around his waist. Werdum gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shane Falco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabricio Werdum. Werdum pulls guard successfully.

Falco is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Werdum.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A nice left hand lands by Falco.
Falco lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Falco is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Werdum is defending well for now. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Falco throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. A shot in the inside from Falco. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Falco dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Werdum misses with a takedown and Falco counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Falco works on Werdum's body with a couple of short punches. Werdum jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Falco walks away with a smile on his face. Werdum gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Werdum takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Werdum gets tackled into the ropes by Falco. Falco maintains the clinch. Werdum tries to pull guard but Falco forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. It looks like Fabricio Werdum has been cut. Falco lands with a slapping head kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Falco moves into the clinch successfully.
Werdum takes a shot to the head. Falco pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Werdum with a lazy takedown attempt and Falco counters with a flying knee. Nice. Werdum is breathing heavily. Falco feints a jab promting Werdum to slip. Falco then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Werdum slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Werdum shoots and misses and Falco counters with a nice double leg into side control. Werdum won't be happy with that.
Werdum is rocked! Falco is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Werdum can do to turn this around? Falco decides to stand back up. Falco steps back and let's Werdum get back to his feet. The fighters circle, before Falco throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Werdum's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Falco lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
