Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John McLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cory is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Richard Cory. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John McLeod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Cory! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLeod looks to land a body kick but Cory moved away. McLeod tries to clinch up but Cory circles away and keeps his distance. McLeod thows a left - swing and a miss! McLeod throws a half hearted mid kick. Cory goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Richard Cory seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cory avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McLeod gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cory taking a breather. McLeod has Cory pressed against the cage.
Cory trying to control the position but instead, McLeod has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cory into the cage. McLeod controlling the action here for a moment.

McLeod shoots in for a takedown but Cory shows good takedown defense. Richard Cory is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cory scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cory is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McLeod gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. McLeod breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Cory looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cory lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

John McLeod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Cory. Cory moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Cory misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cory throws a series of punches but McLeod moves out of range. Cory throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Cory looks winded! The fight stays on the outside here - McLeod looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cory throws a combination that misses and McLeod holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cory tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A frustrated look appears on Cory's face as he tries to break the clinch. Cory wants to stall.

McLeod fails in his attempt to clinch. Cory throws a sloppy head kick and McLeod moves out of range easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cory rushes McLeod and presses him up against the cage. McLeod prevents the takedown attempt.
A short uppercut from McLeod. McLeod throws a head punch that misses. Cory letting McLeod take a breather here. McLeod breaks the clinch.
McLeod shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. McLeod scores with a couple of good hammerfists. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cory keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McLeod throwing shots but Cory is blocking nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John McLeod will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cory lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. McLeod tries to keep at a distance but Cory has taken the fight into the clinch. McLeod lands an elbow just above Cory 's eye.
It looks like Richard Cory has been cut. Cory is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McLeod pulls him back up using the underhooks. McLeod's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Cory tries to pull guard but McLeod forces him back to his feet, against the cage. McLeod can't find room to land a body shot as Cory controls the action.

Cory is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. McLeod has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cory uses from the top position. Cory tries to stand but McLeod is controlling from the bottom. Cory is breathing heavily. McLeod working a defensive guard here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cory fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McLeod, pushing him back against the cage. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Cory is looking to take this one to the mat. McLeod scores with a shot to the side of Cory's head.

Cory looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Cory is trying to push McLeod away but McLeod has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Cory struggles to land a body shot inside as McLeod controls his hands.

McLeod is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cory is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but McLeod has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Cory is looking to defend but McLeod has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Cory! McLeod pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Cory taps out and this one is all over!
