The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barry keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Barry counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gradford's knee momentarily.

Barry fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gradford has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gradford closes the distance and clinches up with Barry, looking for a takedown. Gradford pushes Barry against the cage but Barry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pat Barry.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
