Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jason Duseki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Whelan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whelan has chosen Get Up - Korn Ft. Skrillex as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Duseki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Connor Whelan! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whelan throws a series of punches but Duseki moves out of range. Whelan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Whelan manages to pull guard.
Duseki tries to stand but Whelan is controlling from the bottom. Whelan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Whelan stops Duseki from getting back to his feet.
Whelan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Duseki! Duseki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Whelan unloads with some shots from mount but Duseki bucks and avoids them well.
Whelan lands a nice shot to the head. Whelan controlling his opponent. Whelan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Duseki is surviving well by controlling Whelan's body position as best he can. Duseki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Whelan on the ground. Whelan throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Whelan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Duseki avoids it really well and circles away. Whelan moves into the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Whelan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Duseki's efforts to push away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duseki connects with a nasty looking knee right to Whelan's face.

A head punch on the inside from Duseki fails to land. Whelan keeps control of Duseki as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Duseki wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A short left from Duseki. Duseki is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Whelan is defending well for now.
