Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Tennant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is NWO Wolfpack. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, David Tennant! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Tennant. No joy for James on that attempt. Tennant misses with a left hand and James counters with a low kick, right behind Tennant 's knee. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by James.
Tennant thows a left - swing and a miss! Tennant falls off balance throwing a combination
and James counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by James. Tennant lands on the inside with an uppercut. Tennant tries a body shot but James blocks it.
Tennant tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. James obliges. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James lands a takedown into guard.
James stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tennant swivels though and keeps the full guard. James seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tennant keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Tennant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We're going to have a standup here because Jimmy James wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Tennant ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tennant swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by James. Tennant throws a right and a left that both miss. James walks into a straight right hand from Tennant.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James ducks right into an uppercut from Tennant. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tennant lands with a nice combination. James backs away looking to recover. Tennant lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Tennant misses with a lunging right hand
and James counters with a takedown into side control. Tennant is being controlled here. James cracks Tennant with a big elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. James tries to advance to mount but Tennant denies him. Tennant regains half guard there - taking advantage of James's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. James wants to control but Tennant is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is looking to advance position but Tennant won't allow it. James is just content to waste time from the top position. Tennant takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Tennant looking for a sweep. Not yet Tennant, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tennant's guard. James is just content to waste time from the top position. Tennant takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Tennant keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. James is really struggling to control Tennant but he's trying to hold on to the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tennant utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy James dominated that round. That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
James tries to score with a low kick but Tennant moves his leg out of the way. Tennant throws a left and a right that both miss
and James counters into the clinch. Nicely done. James gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. James lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like David Tennant has been cut. Tennant lands a left hand that snaps the head of James backwards. James blocks a body shot from Tennant. James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tennant.
James is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Tennant digs a right hand into James's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on James's gas tank. Tennant tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tennant lands with a short head shot on the inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tennant.
Tennant misses with a hook from the clinch. Tennant tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Tennant digs a right hand into James's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on James's gas tank. Jimmy James has scored more points in the clinch so far. Tennant lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of James backwards. James misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tennant.
Tennant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Tennant throws a combination. James tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tennant lands with an uppercut that bounces James off the cage and back into range. Tennant is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Tennant misses with the combination.
Tennant looks to land a right hand but James moved out of range. Tennant scores with a body shot.
Tennant lands with a shot to the body. Tennant misses with a two punch combination.
Tennant connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Tennant misses with an uppercut. James saw that one coming. James has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tennant finds it's way round the side to connect with James's head. James shoots for a double leg takedown but Tennant sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Tennant checks a low kick from James.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tennant.

Tennant ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Tennant fakes high and swings low for a body shot but James manages to avoid it. Nice uppercut lands for Tennant. That snapped James's head back.

James takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tennant's jab looks to have found its range, popping James under the eye. James misses with a low kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tennant throws a hook but James blocks it. Tennant clobbers James with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. James chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tennant throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tennant misses the shot to the body. Nice uppercut there from Tennant. James keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tennant throws out a loose jab but James uses good head movement to avoid it. Tennant lands a nice shot to the body.
James fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Tennant slaps away a takedown attempt from James, before circling back to the center of the mat. James is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James tries to land a front kick but Tennant steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Tennant goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James throws a quick inside leg kick. Tennant is breathing heavily. James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tennant's sensitive parts. James closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tennant quickly recovers to half guard. James wants to work for an arm triangle but Tennant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tennant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! James frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Tennant showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on David Tennant's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Tennant looks to score with a jab to the body but James is just out of range. Tennant cracks James with a good jab. James displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tennant throws out the jab. Tennant throws an off balance right hand
and James counters with a nice low kick that buckles Tennant's knee momentarily. Tennant misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tennant misses the shot to the body. James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tennant tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tennant to the ground. Tennant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. David Tennant seems to be getting the better of the standup. A combination from Tennant does no damage. Tennant stuns James with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. James will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy James. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tennant throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
James ducks right into an uppercut from Tennant. James takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
David Tennant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tennant fakes high and swings low for a body shot but James manages to avoid it. Tennant stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from James. Tennant takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. James rushes Tennant and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. James missing with knees to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tennant tries to work over James's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Tennant cracks James with a nice body shot. A shot in the inside from Tennant. Tennant working aggressively here.
James tries to break the clinch but Tennant is controlling the position. Tennant can't find room to land a body shot as James controls the action.
James lands a knee to the head.
James blocks an uppercut.
James blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Tennant doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Tennant is trying to break the clinch but James is controlling him. A head punch on the inside from Tennant fails to land. James is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tennant is defending well for now. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. James misses with a knee to the head.

Tennant's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tennant has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. James throws a leg kick which misses Tennant's front leg but catches the back leg as Tennant tries to avoid it. Tennant throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tennant throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A slow jab from Tennant misses its intended target. James fails with a takedown attempt. Tennant misses with a straight left.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James doesn't manage to clinch there - Tennant circles away.
James scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Tennant lands a really nice looking cross but James seems unphased.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice combination there by Tennant.

Tennant's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Tennant breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

And that's the end of the fight! David Tennant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tennant has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
