Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rich Castellano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castellano comes to the cage accompanied by Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rich Castellano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Jesus! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jesus avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Castellano misses with a double jab.
Jesus on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Jesus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Castellano moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jesus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jesus shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Castellano pinned against the cage. Castellano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Castellano misses with a double jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Jesus misses the target. Jesus misses with a low kick.
Jesus dives in and grabs Castellano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Castellano pushes down on Jesus's head and hops out. Castellano displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jesus throws out the jab. Castellano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jesus throws a looping overhand right but Castellano ducks down to avoid it. Castellano throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Castellano circles away from the clinch attempt.
Castellano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jesus. Jesus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rich Castellano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Jesus. A punch combination from Castellano misses. Jesus avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castellano ducks under a wild hook from Jesus. Castellano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Castellano lands a leg kick that knocks Jesus off balance momentarily. Rich Castellano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A shot to the liver by Castellano. Beautiful body shot. Jesus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Castellano moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A big left from Castellano misses. Jesus waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Castellano. Jesus slips under a jab. Castellano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Castellano is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Jose Jesus has been cut. Jesus rushes Castellano and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jesus has Castellano pressed against the cage, preventing Castellano from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jesus stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Castellano manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jesus pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Castellano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Castellano defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jesus. Jesus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Castellano. Castellano feints a jab promting Jesus to slip. Castellano then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jesus slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Castellano scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jesus slips a jab and a cross from Castellano.
Castellano closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jesus is trying desperately to land a takedown but Castellano is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Jesus. Castellano throws a looping overhand right but Jesus ducks down to avoid it. Rich Castellano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jesus moves into the clinch. Castellano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Castellano cracks Jesus with a good jab. Jesus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Castellano swats him away and circles back towards the center. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Castellano lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jesus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jesus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Jesus missing with a left hand there. Castellano was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jesus looks to throw the jab but Castellano is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castellano throws out a powerful jab. A jab from Jesus misses. Castellano misses with a wild body shot. Castellano throws a right hand that Jesus ducks under and follows up with a left that Jesus also avoids with ease. Jesus throws a hook to the side of Castellano's head but Castellano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jesus drives through with a takedown into guard. Jesus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jesus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jesus wants to control from the top but Castellano keeps moving. Jesus looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castellano is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Jesus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Castellano swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jesus trying to control the position from guard on top but Castellano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rich Castellano dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jose Jesus's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Danga de danga de dang - Castellano scores with a four punch combination! Jesus slips a jab and a cross from Castellano.
Castellano is looking to slow Jesus down with leg kicks. No joy there for Castellano, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Castellano loads up on a big right hand but Jesus slips the punch. Jesus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Castellano was covering up waiting for the punch and Jesus finishes the takedown easily into guard. Castellano keeping moving, preventing Jesus from controlling successfully. Jesus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Castellano haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Jesus postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Castellano is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jesus, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jesus is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Castellano rolls with it to try and escape but Jesus cranks on the arm and Castellano is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
