Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Roosmalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Roosmalen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roosmalen walks into a left hand.
Roosmalen shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Roosmalen tries to score with a low kick but Jones moves his leg out of the way.

Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Roosmalen!

Jones swings around for an armbar but Roosmalen sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jones's guard.
Roosmalen won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.

Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Roosmalen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.

Jones wants to stand up but Roosmalen is controlling him.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jones looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Roosmalen is trying to control but can't.
Roosmalen is positioning himself well to prevent Jones advancing to mount.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Roosmalen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Roosmalen wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.

Jones wants to pass the guard but Roosmalen is defending well.
Roosmalen tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
Jones frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Roosmalen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roosmalen can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones lands a heavy elbow.
Roosmalen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Jones dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Roosmalen circles away.
Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Roosmalen can pounce on him.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Roosmalen shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones clinches with his opponent.
Jones prevents a body shot from Roosmalen.

Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Roosmalen scores with a kick to the body.
Jones blocks a leg kick.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Roosmalen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Roosmalen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Roosmalen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Roosmalen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Roosmalen has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stefan Roosmalen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Roosmalen thuds his shin into the meat of Jones's side.

Jones gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Roosmalen is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones gets an underhook and turns Roosmalen into the ropes.
Jones lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Jones is working for takedown but Roosmalen is calmly controlling the position for now.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Roosmalen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Roosmalen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Roosmalen is keeping the position.

Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Roosmalen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Roosmalen has escaped and now he's on top!
Roosmalen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Roosmalen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jones has tightened it up now! Roosmalen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
