Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Simenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parker Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sergei Simenkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Parker Griffin! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Simenkov, as that shot connected.
Simenkov shoots in for a takedown but Griffin shows good takedown defense. Griffin throws a right and a left that Simenkov avoids nicely. Simenkov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. A clash of legs there as Simenkov blocks the low kick. Griffin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Simenkov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Griffin's half guard. Simenkov passes to full mount! Griffin tries to hold on but Simenkov postures up. This has been an exciting period of action! Griffin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Simenkov.

That's one minute gone in the round. Simenkov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Griffin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simenkov looking to ground and pound but Griffin is blocking nicely. Simenkov throwing strikes here but Griffin is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Griffin wants to hold on but Simenkov pushes him away. Simenkov throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Griffin because Simenkov loaded up on that one. Simenkov looking to control but Griffin is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Simenkov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Griffin is surviving well by controlling Simenkov's body position as best he can. Griffin tries to hold on but Simenkov postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin is squirming around, avoiding Simenkov's attempts to control the action. Simenkov thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Griffin wants to control but Simenkov is having none of it. Simenkov lands a big elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Simenkov lands with some strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Simenkov lands a nice shot to the head. Griffin is still in real trouble! Can Simenkov finish him? Griffin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Griffin seems to have recovered his senses. Simenkov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Simenkov looking to finish with strikes here!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Simenkov wants to control but instead Griffin manages to regain half guard. Simenkov winds up and cracks Griffin with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Simenkov trying to control from half guard but Griffin is working away. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Simenkov throwing shots but Griffin is blocking nicely. Griffin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Simenkov pushes off an throws an elbow but Griffin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Simenkov. Griffin struggles to land a body shot inside as Simenkov controls his hands.

Griffin gets tackled into the cage by Simenkov. Simenkov maintains the clinch. Simenkov wants to take the fight to the mat but Griffin manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Griffin is looking to control Simenkov's arms but Simenkov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Griffin has his back to the cage. A short uppercut from Griffin. Simenkov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Griffin pulls him back up using the underhooks. Simenkov tries for a takedown but Griffin manages to get underhooks.

Griffin is pushing Simenkov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Griffin digs a right hand underneath Simenkov's ribcage. Simenkov let out a lung full of air as it connected. Griffin effectively controlling the action here. Simenkov tries to circle away but Griffin has him pinned against the cage.

Simenkov takes a body punch but keeps moving. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Griffin throws a series of punches but Simenkov moves out of range. Simenkov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griffin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Parker Griffin will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Simenkov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Griffin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Simenkov working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Simenkov working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sergei Simenkov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Simenkov is trying to get an arm triangle but Griffin is defending well. Simenkov working the strikes but Griffin uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Simenkov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Griffin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Simenkov. Simenkov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Griffin has his foot on Simenkov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Simenkov works his way back into a safe position though. Simenkov is looking to work some ground and pound but Griffin has wrist control. Griffin trying to keep a closed guard but Simenkov is proving a slippery customer.
