Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Salwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne has chosen Something in the Way by Nirvana as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gabriel Salwa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronnie Wayne!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salwa ducks under a wild hook from Wayne.
Salwa moves out of range as Wayne strikes.
Wayne moves out of range of the body kick from Salwa.
Wayne throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Salwa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wayne connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Salwa's hands.

Wayne throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Salwa sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Wayne does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Salwa lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wayne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wayne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Salwa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Gabriel Salwa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Salwa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ronnie Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Salwa avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wayne tries to close the distance and clinch up but Salwa swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close round but I would say that Gabriel Salwa will probably get the nod.

Salwa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Salwa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Salwa tries to work over Wayne's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Salwa wants the takedown. Wayne is fighting it off but Salwa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wayne's guard against the cage.

Salwa cracks Wayne with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Salwa has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wayne to stand back up!
