Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Chinaski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Ushenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chinaski comes to the cage accompanied by Gustav Mahler - Symphony No. 9: Mov. 4. Ushenin has chosen The Godfather as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hank Chinaski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Ushenin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chinaski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ushenin's calf. Ushenin avoids the head kick by Chinaski.
Ushenin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chinaski misses with a body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Ushenin 's head but he takes it in his stride. Ushenin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chinaski fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ushenin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ushenin misses the shot to the body. Chinaski uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ushenin has time to react. Ushenin on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chinaski tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ushenin is able to avoid easily. Chinaski cracks Ushenin with a good jab. Ushenin wants to clinch up but Chinaski keeps it at a distance. Chinaski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chinaski is looking to break free of the clinch but Ushenin has double underhooks. Ushenin scores with a shot to the side of Chinaski's head. Chinaski working some nice short punches in the clinch. Ushenin scores a nice knee to the body.
Chinaski stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Chinaski throws a punch but it's blocked by Ushenin. Chinaski tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Ushenin lands with a light punch inside. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ushenin misses with a knee to the head. Chinaski gets through Ushenin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ushenin just misses with a elbow thrown towards Chinaski's brow. Chinaski lands with a short shot to the head. Ushenin lands with a left to the head. Chinaski lands a hook that snaps the head of Ushenin backwards. Ushenin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Chinaski breaks from the clinch.
Ushenin wants to clinch up but Chinaski keeps it at a distance. Ushenin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chinaski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Chinaski thuds a left hand into Ushenin's body. Chinaski circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Chinaski to counter with a crisp jab. Chinaski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chinaski lands in his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Ushenin keeping moving, preventing Chinaski from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chinaski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chinaski trying to control the position from guard on top but Ushenin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chinaski throwing strikes but missing. Ushenin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chinaski. Chinaski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ushenin can do anything to dispel that myth. Ushenin wants to stand up but Chinaski is controlling him. Chinaski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ushenin's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ushenin keeping moving, preventing Chinaski from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chinaski works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ushenin wants to get back to full guard. Chinaski controlling the action here. Ushenin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chinaski. Chinaski trying to control the action but Ushenin is working from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chinaski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chinaski wants to free his trapped foot but Ushenin is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hank Chinaski dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ushenin closes the distance and pushes Chinaski back into the cage. A hook to the body from Chinaski.

Ushenin swings wildly with an uppercut but Chinaski uses good head movement to avoid it. Chinaski throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ushenin blocks it with crossed arms. Chinaski misses with a short punch on the inside. Chinaski is working Ushenin over against the cage. Chinaski stalls. Chinaski lands a hook that snaps the head of Ushenin backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Ushenin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Chinaski can't find room to land a body shot as Ushenin controls the action.
Chinaski tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Chinaski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Alex Ushenin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chinaski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ushenin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chinaski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ushenin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Chinaski scores with the left hand. Ushenin knows he should have avoided that one. Ushenin clinches up against the cage. Ushenin lands a shoulder strike. The referee calls for Ushenin to work.
Chinaski throws a punch but it's blocked by Ushenin. Chinaski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hank Chinaski is winning the standup battle so far. Chinaski throws a front kick aimed at Ushenin's knee but Ushenin avoids it well. Chinaski lands a nice looking body kick. Chinaski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Chinaski keeps Ushenin at a distance using the push kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Chinaski with a nice cross. Chinaski misses with a head kick.
Nice jab there from Chinaski. Chinaski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ushenin.

A good leg kick by Chinaski. Ushenin is breathing heavily. Chinaski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Alex Ushenin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chinaski misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ushenin takes one on the button. Chinaski with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Chinaski lands a head kick. Ushenin smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Ushenin wants to clinch up but Chinaski keeps it at a distance. Chinaski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Ushenin checks a leg kick. Ushenin checks a leg kick. Ushenin checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ushenin throws a hook to the side of Chinaski's head but Chinaski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ushenin tries to clinch up but Chinaski circles away and keeps his distance. Ushenin keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Chinaski gets a takedown into half guard. Chinaski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Chinaski lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Ushenin quite badly. Ushenin pulls Chinaski in close trying to recover. Chinaski postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Ushenin on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Ushenin doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hank Chinaski! Hank Chinaski tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
