Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gideon Draper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Riviere Hinds!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draper misses with a hook. Hinds ducked under it nicely.
Hinds displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Draper throws out the jab.

Hinds fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Draper sprawls well initially but Hinds persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hinds lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hinds thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Draper is trying to maintain the position but Hinds is very close to passing his half guard.
Hinds trying to control the action but Draper is working from the bottom.
Draper is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hinds drops an elbow to the side of Draper's head.
Hinds not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hinds wants to lay and pray for a moment but Draper keeps working.
Hinds slips a nice elbow through Draper's hands, connecting with Draper's forehead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hinds working over Draper with some ground and pound. Draper looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Draper is looking for a sweep. Hinds is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hinds looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Draper with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hinds missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Hinds is thwarting Draper's attempts to control the position.
Hinds throwing shots but Draper is blocking nicely.
Draper tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hinds has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Hinds lands a heavy elbow.
Draper wants to control but Hinds is having none of it.
Hinds trying to control but Draper is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Draper is trying desperately to improve position.
Hinds has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Draper tries to hold on but Hinds postures up.
Draper working to try and regain half guard.
Hinds with the ground and pound from mount.


Draper is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hinds lands a big elbow - Draper is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Draper is forced to tap out!
