Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayavarman Wongkrachang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wongkrachang as he jumps to the side.

and Wongkrachang counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wongkrachang defends it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wongkrachang throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jayavarman Wongkrachang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wongkrachang clinches.
Wongkrachang lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Wongkrachang. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wongkrachang just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wongkrachang pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Wongkrachang shows good takedown defense.
Wongkrachang throws a hook but Silva blocks it.
Wongkrachang feints a jab promting Silva to slip. Wongkrachang then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Silva slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wongkrachang misses with a two punch combination.
Silva uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wongkrachang.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Wongkrachang, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Wongkrachang against the cage but Wongkrachang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wongkrachang lands a left and a right that sends Silva crashing to the canvas! Wongkrachang dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like Rafael Silva has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wongkrachang throws some wild stikes that Silva manages to avoid easily.
Silva can't escape the position.

Wongkrachang has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Silva is desperately trying to improve his position but Wongkrachang has a good base and remains in mount.
Wongkrachang wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
