The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Rasputin sprawls well. He's pushed Silvaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Rasputin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Silvaz counters with a big head kick but Rasputin shrugs it off.
Silvaz shoots in but no luck this time.
Rasputin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silvaz.
Silvaz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rasputin throws a shot from downtown. Silvaz moves away and avoids it.
Rasputin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silvaz at a distance.
Rasputin scores with the left hand. Silvaz knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Thiago Silvaz has been cut.
Rasputin cracks Silvaz with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Silvaz moves out of range as Rasputin strikes.
Rasputin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silvaz takes one to the side of the head.
Silvaz looks to throw the jab but Rasputin is out of range.
Silvaz shoots in for a double leg but Rasputin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Grigori Rasputin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Silvaz.

Silvaz closes the distance and clinches up with Rasputin, looking for a takedown. Silvaz pushes Rasputin against the cage but Rasputin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rasputin looks to land a combination but Silvaz avoids it well.
Rasputin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Grigori Rasputin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rasputin fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Silvaz to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Silvaz looks to clinch but Rasputin throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Silvaz taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
