Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mateo Leone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leone kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Blade Theme rmx. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leone throws a big shot that misses.
Leone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Leone tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thompson tries for a takedown but Leone sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Leone wants to clinch up but Thompson keeps it at a distance.

A solid leg kick lands there for Leone.

Leone will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Leone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Thompson is just riding it out for now. Leone eventually gives up the hold.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Leone crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thompson - the referee stops the clock and Leone gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thompson. Leone manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Leone around the waist but Leone pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Leone is the winner by TKO! Leone jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
