Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Aldo's choice of entrance music: Run this town-rihhana. Jose Aldo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo tries to clinch but Riley moves away

and Riley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Riley.
Aldo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Aldo has had enough of the clinch but Riley keeps him there for the moment.
Aldo looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Riley manages to break the clinch.

Riley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Aldo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Riley.
Aldo lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Riley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Riley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riley uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Riley ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Aldo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Aldo misses with a few strikes there.
Riley thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Aldo if he has to take too many more of those.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aldo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Riley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Riley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Riley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Riley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Riley is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Aldo will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Aldo wants to get back to his feet but Riley drags him back down.
Riley lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Aldo down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Riley controls the position from side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Riley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Aldo is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Riley is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Aldo won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Riley off his unconscious opponent!
