The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suave changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lacalle tries to avoid it but Suave manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lacalle to the ground. Lacalle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Suave shoots in for a takedown but Lacalle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lacalle avoids the head kick by Suave.
Lacalle feints a jab promting Suave to slip. Lacalle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Suave slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

In his post fight interview, Manuel Lacalle started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
