Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mick Lenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zuko's choice of entrance music: Wu Tang- Hellz Wind Staff. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Lenny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kenshi Zuko!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lenny misses with an uppercut. Zuko saw that one coming.
Zuko tries to move into range but Lenny moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lenny swings for the body but Zuko moves out of range.

and Zuko counters with a nice leg kick.
Zuko shoots in but Lenny avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lenny tried to score with a low kick but Zuko checks it.
Lenny waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Zuko.
Lenny slips a jab and a cross from Zuko.
Zuko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lenny shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Lenny throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lenny bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zuko's head.

Zuko connects with a body shot that sends Lenny's belly button to the back.
Kenshi Zuko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lenny misses the jab.

Lenny has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zuko.
Lenny walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lenny tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zuko was well out of range. Poor timing from Lenny.

Zuko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lenny misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Nice straight punches there by Lenny. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lenny.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lenny lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zuko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zuko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Zuko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lenny avoids it really well and circles away.
Mick Lenny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenshi Zuko.
Zuko throws a leg kick but Lenny sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Zuko misses with a looping left.
Zuko throws a series of punches but Lenny avoids them all with ease.
Zuko throws the left hand but Lenny avoids the punch easily.
Zuko throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Lenny throws a big shot that misses.
Lenny fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zuko manages to avoid it.
Lenny misses with an attempted mid kick.
Zuko finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Lenny slips a jab from Zuko.

Zuko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Zuko is working for a kimura but Lenny is defending it quite comfortably.
Lenny is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zuko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zuko's back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kenshi Zuko will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Zuko connects with a leg kick. Lenny looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zuko. Lenny does a little dance to reset his feet.

Zuko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lenny tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zuko is in Lenny's guard.

Lenny throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Zuko escapes and throws Lenny's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Zuko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lenny with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Lenny is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zuko is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lenny is not content to let Zuko control the position.

Lenny parries the strikes from Zuko easily there. Zuko is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lenny to escape.
Zuko misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Zuko grinds an elbow into Lenny's temple.

Zuko lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lenny down.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Zuko creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lenny sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Mick Lenny has been cut.

Kenshi Zuko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lenny, as that shot connected.
Lenny takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Lenny buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Kenshi Zuko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Zuko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
