Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bam Margera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Mara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Margera's entrance music is Slacker. A fine choice. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Matthew Mara enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bam Margera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Mara!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mara tries to bum rush Margera with a series of wild strikes but Margera uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Margera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mara is fending him off so far but Margera persists. Nope, Mara circles away and we're back to standing.
Mara throws out a loose jab but Margera uses good head movement to avoid it.
Margera shoots in looking for a takedown. Mara tries to sprawl out of it but Margera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Margera stuffs the takedown.
Margera fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bam Margera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Margera drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mara tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Margera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Mara wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Margera remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Margera swings around for an armbar but Mara sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Margera's guard.
Margera lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mara!

Margera can't control as he wanted to and Mara manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Margera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mara is just riding it out for now. Margera eventually gives up the hold.

Margera works his way into side control.
Margera wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mara keeps working.
Margera in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Mara managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Margera.
Mara is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Mara is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Margera lands a few punches from side control.
The referee asks Margera politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Margera prefers to stall for the moment though.

Mara tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mara really wants to buck Margera off and get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Margera is landing with some decent strikes but Mara is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Margera scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Mara?

Whack. That's a big, big shot from Margera! Mara is out cold! This one is all over!
