Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Kovalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dres Serd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Kovalev is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Kovalev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dres Serd! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serd tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kovalev swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kovalev tries to close the distance and clinch but Serd swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Serd ducks under a wild hook from Kovalev. Kovalev pushes Serd up against the cage in a clinch. Serd has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kovalev is trying to keep an underhook but Serd manages to get the takedown into half guard. Serd is looking for a kimura here.
Serd trying to control from Kovalev's half guard. Kovalev has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Serd postures up in Kovalev's guard and throws a big left but Kovalev blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serd trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kovalev's guard. Serd looking to pass the guard. Kovalev keeping moving, preventing Serd from controlling successfully. Serd wants to stand and escape but instead Kovalev has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kovalev loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovalev trying to control but Serd is working from the bottom. Kovalev throwing strikes from guard but Serd blocks nicely. Kovalev postures up in Serd's guard and throws a big left but Serd blocks it. Kovalev is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Kovalev throws a big elbow that misses. Serd controls Kovalev momentarily but Kovalev frees himself. Kovalev lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Serd punching to the body, from the bottom. Kovalev lands a couple of elbows. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kovalev postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kovalev connects with a couple of short punches. Kovalev is in close to Serd's body, working some short punches and elbows. Serd is wriggling around but Kovalev manages to pass to half guard.
Serd tries to kick Kovalev off but Kovalev keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kovalev gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Kovalev has closed the distance and engaged Serd in a clinch.

Kovalev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab lands there for Kovalev. Serd tries to clinch there but Kovalev circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fight moves into the clinch position. Kovalev lands a shoulder strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Serd - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kovalev successfully pulls guard.
Kovalev pulls Serd in close to his closed guard and prevents Serd from doing any damage or advancing position. Kovalev manages to escape and get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Serd scores with a jab. Serd on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kovalev. Kovalev obviously looking to wear him down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Kovalev dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kovalev throws a push kick but Serd slaps the foot to one side. Serd pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Serd fails with a takedown attempt. Serd fails with the takedown. Serd gets tackled into the cage by Kovalev. Kovalev maintains the clinch. Kovalev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kovalev lands a big head kick that sends Serd tumbling to the mat! Kovalev takes a step backwards and waves Serd back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Serd is rocked!
It looks like Dres Serd has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Serd walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Serd limp body while Kovalev jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Victor Kovalev!
