Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willy Pincher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Regan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Pincher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Larry Regan! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Regan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pincher's waist but Pincher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Regan off to one side. Regan misses with the body kick and Pincher counters with a nice body kick. Pincher misses with a double jab.
Regan lands a jab.
It looks like Willy Pincher has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Regan is defended easily by Pincher. A momentary lapse in concentration from Pincher enables Regan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pincher manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Pincher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Regan! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pincher is standing up, even though he is in mount. Regan fails with a takedown attempt. Willy Pincher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Regan. Regan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Regan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pincher closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Regan quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pincher is taking a breather. Regan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Regan is looking to escape. Nice strikes from Pincher there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Regan can do anything to dispel that myth. Pincher throwing shots but Regan is blocking nicely. Pincher trying to control the action but Regan is working from the bottom. Regan is holding on to half guard well. Regan is trying to get back to full guard. Pincher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Regan swats away the attempt to clinch by Pincher. Pincher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Regan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pincher was well out of range. Poor timing from Regan. This has been an exciting period of action! A slow jab from Regan misses its intended target. Regan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pincher sprawls well initially but Regan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pincher wants to get back to his feet. Regan thows a huge punch but Pincher dodges it nicely.
Regan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Pincher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Regan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pincher's head. Regan is taking a breather. Pincher says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pincher trying to control but Regan postures up.
Pincher holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Regan looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Regan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Regan is trying to control. Pincher wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Regan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Regan performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Regan lands with a punch from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Regan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pincher squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
A nice elbow there by Regan. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! BOOM! Regan connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Pincher is rocked! Regan lands a big shot to the head and Pincher winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
