Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Koon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koon is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Zion - Fluke. Tyler Simmons had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons throws a hook but Koon blocks it.

Koon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Simmons's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Koon wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koon's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Simmons keeping moving, preventing Koon from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Simmons throws a looping overhand right but Koon ducks down to avoid it.

Koon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Koon wants to pass the guard but Simmons is keeping the position.

Simmons has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Koon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Simmons working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Simmons has managed to clinch.

Koon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Simmons uses from the top position.

Koon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Simmons gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Simmons is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Koon has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Simmons is looking to defend but Koon has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Simmons! Koon pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Simmons taps out and this one is all over!
