Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Scritsmier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sylvester Scritsmier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Colon! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Scritsmier misses its intended target. Scritsmier tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Colon was well out of range. Poor timing from Scritsmier. Scritsmier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Colon circles away quickly and effectively. Sylvester Scritsmier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Colon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Scritsmier.
Scritsmier will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Colon moves out of range of the strikes. Scritsmier throws a big shot that misses. Scritsmier looking to score a takedown here. Colon is defending well but Scritsmier drives through and ends up in Colon's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Colon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scritsmier doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scritsmier manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Colon working for a triangle but Scritsmier defends it easily.
Scritsmier is pushing down on Colon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Colon is fighting to maintain full guard but Scritsmier has managed to sneak the leg through. Scritsmier is working for a kimura here but Colon manages to reverse the position and he's now in Scritsmier's guard.
Scritsmier looking for a sweep. Not yet Scritsmier, not yet. Scritsmier pulls Colon in close to his closed guard and prevents Colon from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scritsmier looking for a guillotine here but Colon defends easily.
Colon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Scritsmier is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Colon stopping the sweep attempt from Scritsmier. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Colon looking to pass the guard. Scritsmier is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Colon is aware though and is defending well. Colon works a leg free and moves into half guard. Scritsmier wants to control but Colon is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scritsmier wants to get back to full guard. Colon is working for a submission of some sort.
Colon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Scritsmier has managed to free his arm - good work. Colon is working for a submission of some sort.
Scritsmier is controlling Colon's trapped leg to prevent Colon from advancing to side control. Scritsmier is defending against the submission attempts here by Colon.
Colon wants to work for an arm triangle but Scritsmier is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scritsmier regains full guard. Nicely done. Scritsmier working for a triangle but Colon defends it easily.
Colon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Scritsmier manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Colon has Scritsmier in his guard. Colon has his foot on Scritsmier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scritsmier works his way back into a safe position though. Scritsmier drops back, looking for a kneebar! Colon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Colon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Colon! This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Colon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Colon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Colon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sylvester Scritsmier will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Scritsmier throws a jab when Colon was well out of range. Scritsmier lands with a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scritsmier scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Scritsmier lands with a shot to the body. Scritsmier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scritsmier throwing shots but Colon is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scritsmier is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Scritsmier not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Scritsmier works his foot free and advances to mount. Scritsmier punishing his opponent with strikes. Sylvester Scritsmier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Scritsmier unloading with bombs! This has been an exciting period of action! Colon taking shots to the head.
Colon is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scritsmier postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Colon is out cold - huge knockout for Scritsmier!
