Paxton comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Advance Australia Fair kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paxton tries to move into range but Curry moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Paxton throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Curry to counter with a crisp jab.
Paxton waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Curry.
Nice uppercut there from Curry.
Paxton takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Paxton fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Paxton works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Paxton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Curry circles away quickly and effectively.
Paxton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Curry lands a head shot.
Curry connects with a good right hand that stumbles Paxton. Paxton circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Paxton is rocked!
Curry pounces like a tiger and cracks Paxton with a vicious hook! Paxton is down but not out! Curry follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Arthur Curry!
