Smith's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mohammed's theme. Clifford Smith could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mr Red's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red has managed to clinch.
Red lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Smith backwards.

Smith has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Red is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Red successfully pulls guard.
Smith throws a big elbow that misses.
Red preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Red throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Red works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Red has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Red's legs - danger averted.

Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Red on the ground.
Smith throws an elbow that misses. Red uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Smith's guard. Nice move by Red!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Red's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Red's back!

Red tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Red is looking to escape.
Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Smith loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Red scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Smith land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Smith stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clifford Smith!
Clifford Smith took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'You know, If I created an Empire by force and married a 6 year old (banged her by 9), I doubt I would be remembered as a leader and hero.... Sound familiar???'.
