Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Baduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alessandro Rizzuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baduk comes to the cage accompanied by Leontiev Valera - Sokrovische Chernogo Morya. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Baduk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Alessandro Rizzuto! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzuto fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Baduk is out of range. Baduk misses with a straight left. Baduk throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Rizzuto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baduk as he jumps to the side. Baduk throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Alessandro Rizzuto has been cut. Rizzuto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rizzuto is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rizzuto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Baduk is trying to keep Rizzuto in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Baduk with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sergei Baduk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Baduk throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Rizzuto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baduk defends it nicely. Rizzuto lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Baduk lands a lovely overhand right. Baduk scores with a nice head shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Baduk cracks Rizzuto with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rizzuto looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Baduk finish him?

That has opened up Alessandro Rizzuto's cut even more. Baduk keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizzuto fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sergei Baduk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alessandro Rizzuto. Baduk cracks Rizzuto with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Baduk has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rizzuto to stand back up! Rizzuto is still on wobbly legs! Can Baduk finish him? Baduk plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Rizzuto to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Rizzuto just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sergei Baduk! After winning the bout, Sergei Baduk thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
