Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sean Mcfee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cormac Killen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Mcfee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Cormac Killen!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcfee fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Killen. No joy for Mcfee on that attempt.
Mcfee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Mcfee is looking to clinch but Killen is avoiding it.
A slow jab from Mcfee misses its intended target.
Mcfee moves to clinch but Killen breaks away

and Killen counters by moving into the clinch.
Mcfee prevents a takedown attempt there.

Mcfee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcfee fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Mcfee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mcfee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Killen defends it nicely.

Killen lands a jab-cross combination.
Mcfee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Killen pinned against the cage. Killen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mcfee leaves Killen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mcfee lands with a hook. Killen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Killen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcfee, pushing him back against the cage.
Killen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mcfee pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mcfee looks for a takedown but Killen sprawls well.

Mcfee shoots in for a double leg but Killen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mcfee is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcfee misses with a double jab
and Killen counters with a two punch combo.
Mcfee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Killen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Killen misses with a low kick.

Killen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mcfee wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Killen has Mcfee pressed against the cage, preventing Mcfee from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Killen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mcfee pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Killen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Killen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Killen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mcfee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mcfee fails to land with a series of punches.
Killen stuffs the takedown.
Killen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mcfee slips a jab and a cross from Killen.
Killen misses with the combination.
Killen looks to land a body kick but Mcfee moved away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Killen.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Mcfee shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mcfee connects with a nice short shot to Killen's temple.

Killen makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Killen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mcfee backs up against the cage.
Killen stuffs the takedown.
Mcfee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Killen circles away quickly and effectively.

Killen has managed to clinch.
Killen is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mcfee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mcfee is pressed up against the cage. Killen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mcfee down to the mat. Mcfee avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Mcfee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Killen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mcfee is able to avoid easily.

Killen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mcfee tries to kick Killen off but Killen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

A close second round but Cormac Killen will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Mcfee jabs Killen to the body, keeping him at a distance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcfee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Killen pushes Mcfee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Killen closes the distance and clinches.
Killen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcfee walks away with a smile on his face. Killen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mcfee throws a series of punches but Killen avoids them all with ease.
Killen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Killen tries to work over Mcfee's front leg with a kick but Mcfee checks it.
Mcfee shoots for a takedown but Killen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Killen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cormac Killen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mcfee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Killen.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mcfee slaps away a takedown attempt from Killen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sean Mcfee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cormac Killen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mcfee misses with a few strikes there.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean Mcfee.
Well Killen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
