The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsui jabbing away but nothing is landing.
No joy there for Matsui, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Edgar swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Matsui.
Edgar cracks Matsui with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Hans Edgar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matsui lands a jab to the nose.
Edgar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Edgar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matsui circles away quickly and effectively.
Matsui scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Edgar cracks the inside of Matsui's front leg.
Edgar keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A left and a right from Matsui both land. Nice combination.

A looping hook to the body misses from Matsui. Edgar does a little dance to reset his feet.
Edgar connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Good leg kick by Matsui there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Edgar tried to score with a low kick but Matsui checks it.
Matsui walks into a jab.
Nice jab there from Edgar.
Matsui is rocked!
Edgar wobbles Matsui with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Edgar dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Matsui to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
