Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Norifumi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davidson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kids - Sleigh Kids kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tim Davidson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davidson clobbers Yamamoto with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Davidson tries to bum rush Yamamoto with a series of wild strikes but Yamamoto uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Davidson misses with a double jab.
Davidson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Davidson looks winded!
No joy there for Davidson , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yamamoto takes the fight into the clinch.

Yamamoto throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Davidson 's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Yamamoto dives in looking to finish as Davidson flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Yamamoto's strikes! Yamamoto is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Davidson 's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Davidson was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
