Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dereck Brunson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Supranovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Supranovich is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Court of the Crimson King. Sam Supranovich is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dereck Brunson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Supranovich! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brunson takes the fight into the clinch. Brunson jumps guard and drags Supranovich to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Brunson is controlling Supranovich's posture. Brunson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Supranovich defends well. Brunson pulls Supranovich in close to prevent any damage. Supranovich looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Brunson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Supranovich is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brunson has his hands on Supranovich's head, controlling the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Dereck Brunson just wasn't active enough. Brunson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Supranovich on his heels. He'll look to pass Supranovich's guard now, I'm sure. Supranovich looks winded! Brunson postures up and lands a big shot to Supranovich's brow. Brunson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brunson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dereck Brunson wasn't doing enough on the ground. A combination from Supranovich does no damage. Supranovich is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Brunson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Supranovich was covering up waiting for the punch and Brunson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brunson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Brunson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Brunson stands up and beckons Supranovich to his feet. Brunson has managed to clinch.
Brunson has picked Supranovich up - he's going for a ride! Brunson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Brunson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brunson is looking for a kimura but Supranovich is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brunson to get the leverage. Brunson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brunson is nestled in close to Supranovich, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Brunson is taking a breather. Supranovich says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Supranovich is defending against the submission attempts here by Brunson.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brunson passes to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brunson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Brunson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dereck Brunson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Brunson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Supranovich swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dereck Brunson. Brunson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Supranovich quickly recovers to half guard. Supranovich is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brunson controlling the pace. Brunson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Brunson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Supranovich for as long as he can get away with. Brunson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Supranovich. Brunson stalling. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brunson wants to work for an arm triangle but Supranovich is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brunson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Supranovich can do to turn this around? Supranovich is in trouble now - Brunson has advanced to mount! Brunson controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brunson looking for a guillotine from mount but Supranovich is having none of it. Brunson working the ground and pound effectively.
Brunson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Brunson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Brunson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brunson controlling his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Supranovich taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dereck Brunson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Brunson clinches. Brunson wants the takedown. Supranovich is fighting it off but Brunson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Supranovich's guard against the cage. Brunson advances position into side control! Brunson in side control, just content to control the action for now. Brunson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Supranovich some visible discomfort.
A lull in the action here. Supranovich takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Brunson grinds an elbow into Supranovich's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brunson slows the pace down. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brunson working the ground and pound from side control. Brunson in side control, just content to control the action for now. Brunson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Supranovich has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brunson wants to stand but Supranovich is controlling his arm. Brunson is putting a hurting on Supranovich here, landing some big shots from side control. Brunson working the ground and pound. Brunson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brunson staying calm. Brunson advances to mount. Brunson looking to secure an arm triangle but Supranovich defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brunson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Supranovich to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Supranovich shrugs it off. Brunson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Supranovich tries to control the position but Brunson now has his back.
Sam Supranovich has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Brunson tightening his grip on Supranovich, looking for the choke.
And that's the end of the fight! Dereck Brunson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Brunson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
