The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Valasvatsa to the mat! Valasvatsa manages to get full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Douglas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Valasvatsa is keeping the position for now.
Douglas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That was a close round but I would say that Chip Douglas will probably get the nod.
