Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on mediano's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nelson closes the distance and clinches up with mediano, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes mediano against the cage but mediano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Nelson has hold of one of mediano's legs. mediano is fighting the takedown attempt but Nelson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. mediano swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nelson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but mediano manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nelson has mediano in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nelson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
